Basic Male Hormones

Testosterone is the primary male sex hormone manufactured in the testis and responsible for a whole range of functions, and for masculine features. It is also the precursor (building block) for other hormones such as Oestradiol, which although most associated with the female sex nevertheless has an important role in males too. Prolactin is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland, important for sexual function and immunity, amongst other functions.
